My showdogs I bath every second week and groom twice a week. If it is dirty weather they will be bathed every week. I never groom a dirty coat.
I have also a grooming saloon so i groom my dogs, all my dogs very often. I bath the show dogs every week or 2 in a week when i have a show..before and past the show. and i bath the retired dog every 15 days.
My show dogs are normally grooming every week, with a bath, shampoo and conditioner, eyes, ears, nails. Sometimes more often when it’s necessary (during the seasons for example).
Some of my show dogs get bathed and groomed every week. Others get brushed
once a week and a bath every two weeks or three weeks.
Not often enough!  I'm joking a little.   Because I have a number of dogs at home, there is always more grooming to do than I can get done.  Ideally, I will wash them about every 10 days.  I live in a dry and dusty climate and if I bath too frequently, the coat and skin gets very dry.  I try to brush them several times in between baths.   It really depends on the season of the year and whether a girl has had a season, the things that can contribute to matting.
When I have a show dog, I brush them out every other day or so. I bath
once a week.
10. Besides coat care, what other things do you do with your dog to prepare him/her for an important upcoming show?

The coat is much for the tibetan terrier so I always check how it looks around the paws and that it is a profile under the dog. Sometimes I take a litte help from the scissors. Then it is the ears, the teeth and the claws. And  besides all that it is training in walking and standing both at table and at ground! And to let other people put their hands on the dog and look at teeth. Since we live at the countryside it is important  to social train the dogs! I often take, especially youngsters, out where there are people to train them.
Nothing special..i bath the dog before the show in a normal way and i dry him very well brushing him with a good brush.
I like to have more time and to play with the dogs before the show and the night before the dogs for this show sleep with me!!!! I think the TT make well the things for the pleasure of his owner .

We have excellent show training classes close to where I live. I go almost
every week; sometimes to train a young dog, other times to give practice to a
dog that has not been shown for a long time.
Again, it depends on the color of the dog and the weather.  With a big puffy adolescent coat, I might try to bath a few days before the show so that I can use some conditioner to help lay the coat down.  If it is a white coat and it is raining, I may try to bath just before the show time.
We do a lot of practicing and make sure ears are clean and nails cut.
11. How much time before the show do you bath your TT?

How long before a show I bath my dogs is up to the coatquality of each dog! For the moment I have three dogs that I am showing and one of them I bath five days before the show and one I bath two days before and the third I bath the day before. I think it takes time to learn how to prepare a coat for show.
The day before and sometime if i have time i bath gain the feet the same day.
I bath the dogs the day before the show when it’s possible.
Usually I bath my TT the day before the show. If the show is local and we are
going in the ring late in the day, I will bath them that morning.

I may try to bath just before the show time.
The day before.

We have long way to go to shows ( and to Stockholm we have 750 kilometers, So we don´t go there so often)! We just have one show every year that is in the neigbourhood otherwise we have 250 kilometers (and the same back again) or more to every show. Here in the north of Sweden it is most shows summertime and then it is nearly every week. So nearly every week we drive 300 kilometers or more to a show and the same back again.
Generally every week or 3 time in a month
I try to have 1 or 2 shows by month, sometimes more but it’s a lot of work, some months are busy in shows( may, june, september..).

I usually go to about one show a month, although it mostly depends on what
dogs I have to show, and what my goals are.

We have more shows  in my  area during the summer months.  Typically, I go to a dog show once a month.
When I'm showing a couple of times a month.
13. Do you also show in other countries besides your own country?

From the north of Sweden we can easily go to Finland and Norway!
yes
We show in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Holland, Germany, Austria, Spain, Switzerland
Yes, I also show in the United States. I hope some day to show my dogs in
Europe, although that would only be on very rare occassions as it is a 9 hour
flight from my home.
In addition to showing in the U.S., I have shown in Germany and in Canada.
No not yet

I usually enters two dogs to a show. But sometimes it is three and sometimes it is just one. It is up to who is judging and which dogs are in showcondition for the moment!
Generally no more than 2
We show one to three dogs per show
At our local shows, usually just one, though sometimes two. If I am showing at
a National Specialty I will enter as many as four dogs.
Usually only one or two.
one or two. That¹s all I can show myself.
15. Do you prefer to show males or females?
Neta Thomsson

I think the males I have had has been funnier to show than the bitches. I think males in general have more "here I come" look than bitches. Bitches also have "bad days" when they are in season or false pregnancy or are going to be in season!
Females
It’s easier to show a male, a female can be more capricious, specially near of the seasons time

It really doesn't make much difference to me
For me, the sex not important.  Each has it's own set of problems, both revolving around a girl in season.  If your own girl is in season, she may not show well or she may feel sassy and show extra well.  If you are showing a boy and a girl in season is near, your boy may get too crazy or he may really show well as if he is trying to impress the ladies.
It doesn't matter.
16. What does you kennel name mean?

My kennel name is MOCOWODO and it does mean "some sort of black magic".
My kennel LOST VALLEY take the name from the place where the tt had origin
“NOMECHAN” is the name of a monastery in Tibet.
Kyeri is Tibetan for mountain of happiness.
My kennel name WOODRUFF is an old family name.
I'm not sure. It was Corky Vroom's boxer kennel name. I liked it and he
let me use it.
17. In general, tell us what you think about the Tibetan Terrier?
Neta Thomsson
Sylvia Saponi
Sylvian Cuvillier
Terri Gueck

Diane de La Rosa
I think Tibetan Terrier is the perfect dog for me! It is exactly the right size for two of them sleeping in my bed or five in the sofa. You can take them under your arms when it is necessary and you can have a lot of them without to big a house! They have the same temper as I have ( very happy but with temper if necessary) so we do understand each other and I love that they have some temper. And they have a wonderful coat and I can cosy with the hair under their feet!! I also love them because they love the snow and cold wether up in the north of Sweden. We can have -25 degrees and lots of snow and they love to be out! I also love them because they are not  interested in hunting! We have lots of wild animals around and they are not interested. I also love them because they love to follow me wherever I might go!
I think thath the TT is a really lovely breed..unbelievable for me stop to have them!! They have a really good caracter, they are healthy and very happy dog. They have no problem in living with other dogs, they like to travel but also stay at home..so...whath can we ask more???

As I said in the question 8, the biggest quality of the TT, he’s very adaptable, everywhere and with everyone. The size is important too, we have a real dog with a solid body in a medium size, a TT can go everywhere (hotel, restaurant, shop, train…..). The TT is so quite, easy in a home and each time near of his owner, always ready for hugs or a walk, he likes the sport too! I like too his natural look, elegant but without exaggerations
The Tibetan Terrier is an amazing breed; they are clever, funny and very
affectionate. I can not imagine living without one.

I wish I could be original here, but I'm not……Life is merrier with a Tibetan Terrier!

I will always have a TT, they make me laugh, they are very loyal, sweet,
and very easy to live with, they are like little people in dog suits that
don't lie.
